Who I Am & How to Contact Me

Michael Fish – Creative Performance Tutor is an independent tuition practice based in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, I am responsible for the personal information collected and used through this website and in connection with tuition.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Notice or how your personal information is handled, you can contact me through the website enquiry form or by email at michaelafish@protonmail.com.

Information I Collect

Depending on how you contact me or use my tuition services, I may collect information such as your name, email address and the information you provide in an enquiry.

Where tuition is arranged, I may also hold relevant parent or carer details, pupil and lesson records, booking and payment records, and information that is reasonably necessary for the safe and effective provision of tuition.

Safeguarding records may also be kept where this is necessary. Where separately agreed, I may also hold photographs, video or audio recordings for an identified teaching or promotional purpose.

Why I Use Your Information

I use personal information only where it is reasonably necessary for the operation of my tuition practice.

This may include responding to enquiries, arranging and delivering lessons, communicating with students and parents or carers, maintaining appropriate records, administering payments, and meeting safeguarding or other legal responsibilities.

Lawful Bases for Using Information

Depending on the circumstances, I may use personal information because it is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract or to provide tuition under an agreed arrangement; because I have a legitimate interest in operating and administering my tuition practice responsibly; or because I need to comply with a legal obligation.

Where information requires additional protection under data protection law, I will only use it where an appropriate additional legal condition applies.

How Information Is Stored

Personal information is stored using appropriate digital services and systems used to operate the tuition practice, including Wix for website enquiries and Proton Mail for email communication.

Reasonable steps are taken to keep information secure and to limit access to those who need it.

Who Information May Be Shared With

Personal information is not sold or shared for marketing purposes.

It may be shared with service providers that support the operation of the business, or with safeguarding, legal or regulatory authorities where this is necessary and lawful.

How Long Information Is Kept

Personal information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing tuition, maintaining appropriate records and meeting legal or safeguarding responsibilities.

Records are reviewed periodically and deleted securely when they are no longer required.

Cookies & Website Technologies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the website to function securely and correctly. These are provided through Wix and support essential website functionality.

I do not currently use cookies for advertising, marketing or non-essential analytics. If non-essential tracking technologies are introduced in future, this Privacy Notice and the website's consent arrangements will be updated accordingly.

Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to ask for access to it, to have inaccurate information corrected, to request deletion or restriction of its use, and in some circumstances to receive or transfer information you have provided.

You may also have the right to object to the use of your personal information, particularly where it is being used on the basis of legitimate interests.

If processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
